“Not at all as Expedia advertised. Not a 4 star hotel, maybe 2.5 to 3. Room chosen was to have a deep soaking tub but instead had a cheap shower with a base that flexed when you stepped in. Low class decor. Restaurant staff were very good. Would not stay here again”

“We received a very warm welcome from the owners, even though we arrived later than planned. We were able to enjoy a toasted sandwich in the peaceful garden. The house itself has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are decorated with great care, maintaining the old style yet offering all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls, homemade jam, and lemonade. A place to return to!”

“Beautiful hotel and vibe! Good location, right next to the university. Breakfast is carefully curated with home made cake etc but there wasn’t a lot of variety.
Parking was a pain given the hotel is situated on top of the hill surrounded by narrow roads that are parked with cars, but one can manage with help. ”

“Staff were helpful, the room was clean and parking was on site which was nice. The grounds around the hotel were quite nice which had many orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit.
Pool was being cleaned when we were there and we would not go into the pool even though staff said that we could. It was quite dirty.
The hotel is about a 20 minute ride into the heart of Coimbra. We would recommend a taxi or Uber since parking is very hard to find in Coimbra.

“The room access was by a narrow staircase and was two levels down from the entry. Breakfast and coffee were basic. In the bathroom, the ceiling had water infiltrating from the level above. The room was large and nicely decorated. The bed and pillow were good.”
