There is nothing bad to say about this property other than the fact we only stayed one night. We chose it due to its location between our drive from Sicily to Naples. A totally off the beaten path mountaintop retreat in a quaint village. The surrounding area is quite stunning. Nothing but lush agriculture and nature on very steep hills with views. There is a rustic ristorante in town with pretty good if not gourmet food, inexpensive beer and wine and plenty of good cheer from the other guests of all ages. If you are up for something different, make the slow windy drive here and you should be delighted.

Vittorio is an amazing super host. Can't thank him enough for his hospitality and making us feel right at home. He stayed in contact with us until we reached Scalea by train. He then picked us up at the station and drove us back when we left. His rooms are sparkling clean, spacious and have beautifully tiled, large bathrooms. We want to thank Andrea, he allowed us to check in early and was so friendly. The location is great near the sea, with views of the water from many rooms. The onsite parking for our car was helpful. The staff was great and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was good size and good bathroom. The breakfast was simple but felt like homemade and very comfortable. Thanks for making us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms all had balcony. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained.

My family of 4 stayed in the mansard rooms. It was a perfect two bedroom set up with a private bath and sitting room for us to share. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was nice and cool compared to other places we stayed in Italy. The owner was nice and helpful. He recommended a delicious restaurant that we loved. Our group of six had three rooms at this property and also had dinner at its fabulous restaurant. The proprietor, Joseph, was the highlight of our experience. He was welcoming and made us feel like we were in his home. We enjoyed a beverage in the hotel lounge and the homemade breakfast cakes and cookies with our expresso and cappechino in the morning. The dinner and the hotel were a nice break on our drive from Positano to Sicily.
