The "innkeeper" John could not have been more accommodating or helpful during my brief stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and historic. It's still a bit of a work in progress, but I enjoyed my stay so much I would go back to Schenectady just to stay there again. I can't wait until the restaurant downstairs opens- it is such a cozy and welcoming place. The coffee shop in the lobby is bright and warm (and the coffee and cheese scones are excellent!) This is the opposite of staying in a chain hotel. All calm and charm. Thanks for a lovely stay, John.

We had a great stay at the Stockade Inn. It was a nice experience to stay away from the cookie cutter hotels and enjoy a more quaint experience. The sitting areas around the inn are wonderfull for a morning coffee or evening cocktail. If history and warmth are what you're looking for , look no farther!

The staff is so welcoming and nice. We loved that the hotel has a yoga studio and a cafe. It’s only a three minute walk to Frog Alley Brewing, which was great for us! We will definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful, historic building, although still a work in progress. The room was very clean and the staff available, friendly and helpful. The room only had a desk chair, but that was all I needed. The in-room air conditioner was loud, although it made for good ambient noise. The bed was firm. It was a great experience to be in such a special building and I would stay there again.
