“Fabulous stay”

“There are unwritten rules on this site. The terms and conditions stated extra person staying is $20 per person per night. We only find out on second day with staff on site that there’s a hard limit of three person for our cabin. So us four staying goes against the owners insurance policy. We managed to communicate and paid $80 for the four nights and continue to stay. But the communication was not quite pleasant. There’s no written rules about camping cartridge gas stoves or coal bbq stove....

“Luxurious, clean, well appointed room and amenities. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The self served breakfast is a great start to the day. The complimentary sweet treats to have with your tea or coffee and/or a port in the evening were a nice touch. ”

“Cottage was beautifully decorated & well appointed. Very private & peaceful location. The weather was wet & chilly during our stay so the log burner was much appreciated! ”

“Basic house with no Wifi. Lacking in a few essential home comforts such as dishwasher or hair dryer, bread knife and games. TV was old and reception poor. Backyard is big with sun in the afternoon but not a welcoming place to sit around. Mattresses were old. Fridge unplugged when we arrived. We appreciated the washing machine and the heat pump. The location is great, nice places to visit. With a few small improvements this could be a great holiday house. ”

“The host was extremely attentive with great communication. The property was lovely with lots of wildlife. The accommodation was pretty nice but we were staying there with our mother and the walls are quite thin so not much privacy. Also, it could have been checked for bugs/spiders a bit better. But overall it was pretty good. ”
