"Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us.
The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Note - free toiletries are available at the bar, not in the room.
The only things I didnt like were the stag head looming over our breakfast area and the picture of men 'enjoying' dog fighting in a stable. "

"Wonderful friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous surroundings. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Large comfortable room with a super comfy bed. Luxury bathroom products. Large bar and restaurant, didnt use the spa facility but looked great."

"I stayed for two nights in the lovely Darwin room. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy, with everything I needed (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh water, toiletries). Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic! Chosen from a menu and freshly made to order it was high quality and non greasy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Loopy Shrew is in the heart of charming Shrewsbury and just a short ten minute walk from the station so easily accessed from there and very easy to find. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout. There were lots of leaflets and information on things to do and places to see during your stay. A great base from which to explore the town and surrounding area. I highly recommend."
