"Good spot for a quick stop off on the way to Bergen - I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable the rooms and shared facilities were as I normally don’t book a shared bathroom but everything else was booked out. Staff didn’t have much info to share in travel options which, given it’s the main function of the towm, seemed odd. The bakery was great and the main hotel did a lovely breakfast. "

We had a small hiccup with check-in, but the locals are so friendly and helped us out. "Even if the furniture is quite old, it is clean and totally adequate. It has a very cozy charme. The village is quite quiet and the loudest noise was that of the water stream not far from the house. The only thing that was interesting to put it mildly was the smell coming from the bathroom. One of the water drains was smelly, but you can manage by keeping the window open. All in all it is a cozy little place and we would visit again."

"Das Ferienhaus liegt hinter Bakka bei Gudvangen (6 km von Gudvangen entfernt, auf schmaler Straße (Auto empfehlenswert) erreichbar). Der Ausblick von der Terasse auf den Naeroyfjord ist traumhaft, auf der anderen Seite rauscht der Tuftofossen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, der Vermieter ist nett und hilfsbereit. "We loved staying here. The view is unreal and the house offers quite a bit of space. Traveling with two toddlers it was exactly what we needed. We had a small hiccup with check-in, but the locals are so friendly and helped us out. Our host was super accommodating and even drove us to the grocery store last minute on Saturday so we could do some shopping since they would be closed on Sunday. He also offered to shuttle us to and from Flam for a small fee which is a life saver with the lack of transportation options if you’re not renting a car. Can’t say enough good things. "
