Se hospedó 4 noches en junio de 2025 ### 6/10 Aceptable #### Jordan S., Talbott, USA 30 may. 2025 #### In Need of Some TLC Pros: close to the beach, more private area, host responds quickly, the floor was very clean, has a psck and play, baby seat, and some toys for kidsCons: No blinds over kitchen sink-can see into window if the house behind the apartment, back door blinds are ripped and dont work- we hung a towel over the door for our stay, knobs missing on dresser in the room with the balcony, a screw is missing on the door handle to the balcony- itll likely easily come off, the balcony has no furniture except a table, the mosquito netting around the balcony is coming off- not just a little, but feet of it coming off, the bed side table has the whole bottom coming out, the bed also sinks to the left- i think the bed frame may be broken, top of fridge and bedroom furniture had quite a bit of dust, there was also laundry in the dryer that had to be folded so we could do the laundry for the cleaners, the armoire in the living room is crammed full of unfolded linens and we couldnt get the door to stay shut, finally dead flowers on the front porch in a vase.Overall: i think these issues could easily be fixed with a handyman. It's just a little disappointing for the price to walk into so many things that would be a simple fix. It is a nice area though and more affordable than other places on the island. The property is full of character - and history - with an updated bathroom and sink. If you are willing to forgo shiny and new you will be rewarded with an outstanding experience right next to Fort Moutrie on the quiet end of the island. We rented bikes and enjoyed the neighborhood and nature trails nearby. We would definitely rent this property again and appreciate the great communication and amenities. ##### Jennifer Z. It’s a such historical spot on the beach. I’m sure it once was quarters for the fort with a rich history of stories. The duplex has 4 apartments and we stayed in the bottom left apartment. It’s super cozy and rustic, but it’s been updated while leaving the charm of the original characteristics of the home. We could walk straight out to the beach and see the sunset or the boats cruise by from the harbor. The bathroom seemed newly updated too. Thanks for having us Heather! ##### Ambre K. What is not stated is the beach is somewhat of an "inlet". It was fine for our off season 3 days getaway, but since the public beach access is directly beside the unit, I would imagine beach space would be very limited during peak vacation times. The unit was cute! The kitchen could use a deep cleaning and some of the small appliances need to be updated or replaced, specifically, the toaster. Most of my dislikes have been addressed in other reviews, so no surprises upon arrival. It appears many of the comments are "constructive criticism," but the suggestions have not been addressed. The screened in porch was very nice but a few inexpensive improvements could have made it nicer. The patio furniture needs new cushions and pillows. The outside of the unit off from the kitchen needed the overgrown weeds cut and the old water hose and flowerpots should have been stored out of sight or trashed. The shower handle fell off many times, but we were able to put it back on to make it functional. The shower curtain was very pretty! It actually was the only "beachy" looking accessory in the unit. My personal opinion is this unit would be adorable decorated in a beach theme. The beds were comfortable. Linens were provided but consisted of 2 towels, one hand towel, and ONE washcloth per bed. Bring extra linens with you. Thankfully, there is a washer and dryer on the back porch, so we were able to wash the linens. One of the blinds in front bedroom did not open. One blind in the other bedroom was too short for adequate privacy. I attempted to pull a curtain back in front bedroom to let some light in, but the curtain rod fell out of the bracket. I was able to put it back. The unit will sleep 4, but it was very crowded with only 2, particularly, the bathroom. I feel it was slightly overpriced. My sister and I had a wonderful time, but we were only there for 3 days. ##### Tami M. Needs some minor repairs - hook on bathroom door was broken; tub faucet needs repair. A bath mat would have been nice to have in the bathroom.
