The drive from Liberia airport was a long one, but totally worth it to drive into the little village of Montezuma and into the jungle paradise of Ylang Ylang. Our room was right on the ocean. Going to sleep with the crash of the ocean waves outside our door. Beaches - mostly empty save the hermit crabs and occasional local dog. Staff - outstanding. Bed - comfortable. “Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. ”

“We stayed here for four nights and were very satisfied. The location is great. Restaurants, the main street, and the beach are all within easy walking distance. We were able to enjoy the sunset right from the beach. Breakfast was delicious. The staff and the manager were all very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The only downside is the rather uncomfortable bed. Overall, we can definitely recommend the hotel and would come back anytime.”

“NO ONE should book this property. We paid $2,600 for a week and ended up leaving on day one. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never once walked out until this place. I don’t even know where to begin. Before you even get to the hotel, enjoy climbing up the disaster of a dirt road. It’s extremely steep and full of holes that will most definitely scrape the bottom of your car. I was really concerned for my rental. Driving up and down this road, especially at night, was a nightmare.……

“This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Montezuma. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly. We even got an upgrade from a regular room to a balcony and they let us check in a few hours early because the room was ready. Hotel was clean and quiet. We saw a ton of wildlife right outside of our room… monkeys, iguanas, squirrels and a ton of unique birds. The location was perfect allowing you to walk to the beach and the main street where all of the stores and……
