“There was no staff at all for the whole 3 days of our visit which is very poor. We had to go across the road to some other holiday u its and he had to come and let us in with a door code to our room (hoping he had given us the correct room and not someone elses). The unit itself was quite good though”

“We have stayed at Alpine River Cottages many times over the years, and for a good reason. The location is central to both Bright and Myrtleford, without the business of either town. The cottages overlook the tranquil Ovens River, where in Summer you can swim and enjoy the natural surrounds. This time, we received a surprise, an upgrade to the new cottage—a self-contained tiny house with a view of the Mountain and the beautiful river. Warm and cosy, we had peace and quiet. “The property was in a good location and would have been really good but it needed a very good clean! The floors were very dirty and it didn't look like they had been vaccumed or washed”

“It was easy checking in since they send you all the details a few hours before you come. There is no reception, but staff are responsive when you sms them. The place is clean, but it would have been better if both bathrooms had provision of toiletries. The shampoo, conditioner and soap were only available to one of the bathrooms, so we just ended up using one when it would have been easier to be able to use both given that we are family. One of the toilets had something dripping from the roof so……
