1. Ocean Shores Beach

Ocean Shores Beach runs along the entire length of a peninsula, which stretches for about 8 miles (16 kilometers) down Washington’s coastline. Gaze in awe at the mighty Pacific Ocean as it crashes against the North Jetty and find a peaceful patch of sand where you can relax with friends. The beach is often used for lively community events, while the ocean is a playground for watersports enthusiasts.

2. Westport Marina

The hub of this cozy beach town, Westport Marina is worth a visit for anglers and boaters coming to the area for relaxing vacations. Walk along the docks of the marina, looking at the many fishing boats, purchase a fishing license and a crab pot and then try your luck in the harbor. Nearby, walk down Fishermans Boardwalk and cast a line in open water.

3. North Jetty

Wander over the grassy dunes in the bottom corner of the Ocean Shores peninsula to reach the North Jetty, a man-made strip of rocks at the entrance to Grays Harbor. 5. Grays Harbor Lighthouse

If you love lighthouses, during your visit to Grays Harbor County, Washington, don’t miss the Grays Harbor Lighthouse, the state’s tallest lighthouse and the third tallest on the West Coast. The 107-foot-tall (33-meter) lighthouse was originally located about 300 feet (90 meters) from the water’s edge, but today it’s approximately 3,000 feet (900 meters) from the high tide mark.
