Ky Dai is a fortress in front of the Citadel. Over the years this flag pole has been destroyed by Mother nature and by war. But here it stands again 37 metres high or 121 feet. We walked through the Citadel, but this was a nice spot to have a packed lunch and imagine what this place was like back in the reign of 6th Gia Long (1807).

"One of our favourite hotels we have stayed in so far across our 3 week travel of Vietnam. Really lovely staff, greeted with complimentary fresh fruit juice upon arrival. Staff very knowledgable of the local area, and cared more about our trip than up selling their own tours like a lot of hotels. The breakfast was the best we had, a choice of 4 dishes from their menu and a drink... All free! It may be a little out of the centre of the town but this hotel is worth every penny!"
