“Loved staying here. It was the perfect ending to the day after venturing out to several different locations.Beautiful scenery and plenty of peace and quiet. If you are planning on staying near Inverness, I would highly recommend this place!”

“Spacious, well equipped and good value for money. It rains sometimes - it's Scotland - but the surroundings are glorious. We explored Loch Ness with castle Urquhart, saw dolphins at Chanonry Point, got close with hairy coos, went for a walk in Glen Affric and even visited Eilean Donan and completed the Bealach na Bà. Hopefully will be back soon.”

“The Hen House was lovely! It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard. The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic. The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt. Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car. Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here. ”

“Welcomed by Keith who talked us through everything in relation to breakfast, our room etc. Everything was perfect. Hubby was happy as coffee machine in our room! Spacious, large en-suite with good shower. Loved the ‘hair straightener’ slate on the dressing table to ensure no burn marks left - I used that. Huge choice for breakfast. Lovely room to eat it in. The property is in a great position. Would definitely recommend & return. ”

“Loved our stay! Views are incredible- everything we needed for cooking meals was there. Water pressure in the shower was wonderful and it’s a gorgeous easy drive into Inverness for any adventure. Even had some wildlife visit- perfect wee cottage to enjoy quiet and nature!”

We hired a car as when booking we knew we wanted to be a bit out of the way but this ended up being central for everything we wanted to do for our stay. We would stay here again as it really did feel like a home away from home! ”
