"I had a great time, and would stay again. I walked to the plaza where I got food and supplies. The host provided great instructions and it was a pleasure staying here."

"The location was perfect. It was close to the cruise port and lots of shopping and restaurants.
The host was very responsive to my questions and helped make our stay a vacation to remember. "

"Excellent value, very clean and convenient location. Only downsides were some ants in the kitchen and the AC doesn’t get very cold. Otherwise a great place to stay for a layover in Tahiti. Extremely easy to get to Papeete and do an east coast drive. Area felt very safe, but it’s a bit of a hike to Papeete, so I’d suggest a rental vehicle. "

"Nice apartment, great view. A couple let downs though, the washing machine was full of cockroaches which then lead to them being all over the apartment and through our luggage. No water on one of the days so unable to use any of the utilities eg. toilets, shower, kitchen. The address provided is wrong so it was an absolute nightmare trying to get a taxi home, the name is also irrelevant as it doesn’t appear on any map or known to any local taxi drivers so spent more money than need be on longer...

"We stayed in the overwater bungalow. It was amazing! First of all, the bungalows are laid out well and kept well. The location on the water was beautiful and perfect! My daughter and I love to snorkel so when we wanted to snorkel we just stepped off of our dock. We took full advantage and snorkeled a lot! The food at all the resort restaurants was very good and the drinks (alcoholic) were all very good as well. Every resort employee we talked to or had dealings with was very kind and accommodating. Just an overall great stay! We would definitely recommend!"
"Stayed 5 nights in one of the outter overwater bungalows, outstanding! Everything was clean and tidy. Beautiful cocktail bar, Polynesian night in the restaurant was fun! Guest services were always very helpful. Had an 80 minute couples message, sooo relaxing! "
"Wonderful check in staff and porters….our flight was 2&1/2 hours delayed leaving the west coast that added to the 9+hr flight time…the staff was accommodating and helpful….TY!!"
"Beautiful spot. Great snorkeling right out front, with masks and snorkels supplied by hotel.
Restaurant was in a beautiful spot but the food could be a lot better. Many other food options nearby. Suites were in great shape and a nice size."
"We stayed at hotel Fenua for 3 nights in the romance suite during our 18 night honeymoon. Of the 7 lodgings we stayed at - this was by far the most unique place. Staff was very friendly & assisted with delivering early morning breakfast that we ordered the night prior. It has direct access to the water (but it is not very clear compared to some other parts of the lagoons). We were able to rent a kayak while here and also had one of our best spa sessions while on our trip. Fenua is one of a kind as it only offers 5 very unique and homey rooms. We spent a decent amount of time in the lounge area which felt like something out of a book. The common area & rooms have an abundance of plants that are well maintained and give the ambience of staying in a coastal jungle. The AC worked surprisingly well despite other reviews we had seen. The breakfast we ordered was incredible - especially the homemade jams included with the pastry boards. There are only a couple of potential downsides depending on your preferences. 1.) There will be geckos in your room - they are small and harmless, but you’ll want to keep your bags zipped. 2.) Sometimes you’ll hear easily through the walls (staff working outside on maintenance / birds nestling on the roof) etc. 3.) As mentioned before there is only 5 rooms offered here, so you will not run into many guests. We viewed this as an overall positive since we had privacy & a unique experience while also having the benefits of an active staff on site "
"We stayed here during our honeymoon for 3 nights in a beach front bungalow. Can’t recommend this place enough. This was our 2nd favorite lodging during our trip where we stayed at 7 different lodgings (only behind one of the 5 star resorts on bora bora). If we visited again we would choose Sofitel again over the other resorts on Moorea offering OWBs. The staff was incredibly friendly our entire time there, and all food options come highly recommended. Do not be cheap and avoid the resort breakfast - it is well worth it. The room was very clean & we had easy access to the nearby lagoon where we had some of the best casual snorkeling of our trip. One of our highlights at Sofitel was the beach front romance dinner through restaurant K - we were picked up from our bungalow at our reservation time & dropped back off after. We also had an amazing spa session while there. The only downside for the short term is part of the property was beginning renovations when we were leaving (including the spa moving to a smaller location on site with potentially more limited offerings) in late October. Overall we would 100% stay at Sofitel in the future again. "
