The property is well kept, you could tell renovations had occured, room was exceptionally well kept. Would be a nice perk to have water bottles available for guests for free, and available in bar/ restaurant area also. The location of the hotel was convenient, but the area around the hotel was a little sketchy

The view of this turquoise lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks has been immortalized on countless postcards and on the back of 20-dollar bills in Canada.

The Indians used to pull the ocre out of these ponds to use as a colorant in dyes. The walk back to see the ponds is only about 1k from the road. It’s a beautiful walk and the paint pot colors and the forrest blend beautifully together.

You can take time to visit Paint Pots Trailhead during your travels to East Kootenay. Wander the lakeside or discover the mountain views in this relaxing area.

It’s not a complete secret, but many people are not aware there is a second tea house in Lake Louise. In the summer months hundreds of people visit the Lake Agnes Tea House each day, but only a fraction of those numbers hike to the Plain Of Six Glaciers, and shown in the pic is about 3/4 way up to the tea house. #BVSblue #TakeAhike, #NationalParks #HikingTheGlobe #GreatOutdoors
