If your group has more than 4 people, or you just want to spread out, feel free to check out our upstairs Star-view Suite (Property ID 2177946) and PM me for additional details. The unit with the screened in porch and wood dock is private and reserved currently. We stayed for 5 nights after Thanksgiving and it was the perfect spot to relax, visit relatives, read, work on puzzles and watch our favorite shows at night! My husband hunted during the day! We had a very relaxing and easy stay in the cottage. The unit was clean and larger than it looks in the photos - it very comfortably fit four adults. We are very familiar with Elk Lake and were a little worried that there would be late-night noise coming over from Jake's Tavern next door, but we had no issues (even on a holiday weekend!). Having access to the kayaks was a huge bonus. We had a lovely stay at the Lily Pad! We really appreciated having access to the kayaks, having a full kitchen with everything we may have needed, comfy beds and couches, a porch looking out on the lake and a smart tv for those nights to unwind. It was rainy 3/4 days we were there, but we found more than enough to do. Frank's place nearby was excellent! We went to Prompton Falls, Jim Thorpe, the Old Jail, Lake Wallenpaupack for our beach day, kayaking and a few trails. The view of the lake was unforgettable. Jake's Tavern right next door was quite convenient. I will say, the local grocery store, Hayes, looked like they were closing. Their shelves were basically bare (like the height of COVID). So it may be a good idea to bring the majority of your food. The guest book was super helpful in seeing what others enjoyed during their stay too. At one point I couldn't find the hairdryer and messaged the host. Next thing I know it was right at our door! Suprisingly quick response! When we arrived we did notice the floor didn't look vacuumed in a couple spots and there were a few hairs in the shower. This didn't bother us too much, but something we noticed. We enjoyed the yard and the fire pit at night. Even though it rained for a bit we had plenty of room relax inside and wait for the rainbow to come out. The porch is an inviting space to read or just sit and visit. Just steps from the lake and kayaks to use if you want to take a paddle around. There are opportunities for hiking, shopping, and other activities all within a short drive or you can simply swim, canoe, or kayak right at the lake. The hosts are amazing and the property is clean and well maintained.
