"Would stay at this hotel again. Room was modern and spacious. Nice big TV in room! Don’t agree with the 3.00 a night emergency services fee that they charge. Didn’t know about that until check in. Free breakfast was great! Loved the scrambled eggs with cheese in them. Variety breakfast items was nice too. "
Wildwood cabin at Paradise in the Woods on the Buckhannon River

"We had a great time at Cheryl’s cabin! The river (across railroad tracks and through a small strip of trees- about 2 min walk) is beautiful! We tried to tube the river but it was a bit low in areas. We enjoyed it nonetheless - down river is remote and scenic. There are a few swim holes near the cabin (about 4 to 5 feet deep in spots) that are beautiful with clear water, sand/rock beaches, and large rocks cropping out of the river bed. We hiked around the property looking for small caves, and along the railroad tracks. Made a visit to the Wildlife Center (fun and a beautiful walk). We went to Helvetia, a tiny town founded by Swiss craftsmen, that has a general store, a cheese shop, wood furniture/art shop, local honey store and a Swiss restaurant. Be aware- the restaurant/ stores have limited operating hours - most are only open from Wednesday to Saturday, so plan ahead. The town has a picturesque stream, a bridge landscaped with flower boxes, and other small garden areas throughout. My family hiked the historical trail and a dog named Buck, who lived in the house next to the general store, walked the 2.8 mile trail with us and even showed us where to go a few times. He was such a great guide! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed! We made hotdogs and smores on the fire pit. The night sky was amazing! We lost power for a few hours due to work being done, but Cheryl was at the cabin within minutes to let us know. NBD. It was a great stay and very family friendly! "
"Such a great stay this week. The room was nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was magnificent! The staff were so friendly and made check in/out so easy. We enjoyed the pool that was very refreshing for the hot day. We will stay here again when visiting!"

"My husband and I had an amazing stay at Cheryl’s property. The original place we rented had some water issues so prior to our arrival, we were contacted and offered the Deerling which happened to be bigger with no additional charge. I really appreciated that, it was very nice and accommodating. The place was immaculate. So clean, cute decor, and very secluded which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were able to bring our dog and he loved all the space to run around and explore outside.We are absolutely planning to unplug and come back next year. "
