Beautiful new contemporary home, quiet wooded lot minutes from Devils Lake

JANUARY SPECIAL-15% OFF. Peaceful setting for this 2 bedroom contemporary retreat with a soaring ceiling and lots of glass to take in the natural surroundings. Modern kitchen with Cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. Other features include a cozy fireplace, 2 patios, air conditioning, murphy bed for extra guests, gas grill and a fire pit area for camp fires. Quiet road but very close to Devils Lake, Devils Head, Lake Wisconsin and in between Baraboo and Sauk City. Great escape to read and relax or take in the trails at Devils Lake or Parfreys Glen. Excellent restaurants are within 5-15 minutes from the property. A truly unique experience in a great location! PLEASE NOTE Wi-Fi is dish, good but limited. June 12th-August 31st 7 day minimum stay.

Cute little house that feels a lot bigger than it is! Wonderful large windows and high ceilings. Full kitchen was great-we cooked all of our meals the whole week for 5 people. Very comfortable house in a quiet and convenient location.

Another great stay at minimalist modern hideaway !

Great location and perfect stay for a group of 6 people.We enjoyed cooking in a modern open kitchen, playing board games, roasting marshmallows in a firepit, grilling delicious dinner .It is a perfect place to stay if you love "Devils Lake" state park. Very short drive and no hassle of packing all camping gear, -so you can spend more time exploring, hiking, fishing or just relaxing.Daron was very prompt and responsive to our messages.Will come back here again. Thank you for this little gem .

Quite Retreat

Our family wanted a spot where we could escape all the crowds and still be close to the Dells. This was the perfect spot. Scenic and secluded. Accommodating and responsive host. Would rent again!

Modern Retreat in The Driftless Area

Super clean and modern retreat in the middle of the Driftless Area, 15 minutes to everything. We started each morning with hikes in different areas of Devil's Lake State Park and then were able to enjoy food and drinks in town. Checked out Driftless Glen Distillery and Tumbled Rock! Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back, so don't book the same weekend I want to go back!

Mother Nature!

The place was modern, CLEAN, well appointed, QUITE, and the host, Darion was great! Devils lake is very close. You have a winery, brew house and the epic Driftless Glen distillery,ALL within 12 minutes! And they all have decent food. We hiked the lake hard, stopped to eat, and had a nice campfire at nite. We love this place, will book every year!

Comfortable & Serene Outdoors

Love the Frank Lloyd Wright features. Felt like we were living outdoors with indoor comforts. Songbirds were singing. Being surrounded by forests was delightful. Great location. Daron was very helpful, communicative and extremely responsive.

Perfect quiet retreat in beautiful modern cabin!

Daren's cabin was the perfect secluded getaway! The house is surrounded by trees (and snow in the winter!) and has high ceilings and windows to really soak in all of the nature around you. It's a quick 20min drive to ski at Cascade Mountain and I'm told there are many other great activities in the area. The house was equipped with basic cooking materials as well as comfortable sleeping arrangements. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful getaway!

Beautiful retreat

We stayed here for a girls' weekend. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space to spread out. We also utilized the murphy bed and after watching the youtube video sent by Daron, it was easy to set up and very comfortable. The whole house is immaculate. We loved the large living space and big windows looking out into the forest. We had super short drives to Devil's Lake State park and ice age trailheads for hiking. We cooked all our meals at the cabin and the kitchen space was great for being able to chat and cook together. Daron was super responsive and really helpful with any questions that we had. Overall, a wonderful stay in a really great area. We would absolutely rent this house again.

a visit home

Much better than expected. Enjoyed the higher quality items like the windows and doors and newer washer and dryer and more than needed kitchen. The location was exactly what I was looking for, out of the way but only 10 min from town. I was born in Baraboo, and come up to visit every couple years or so, and now I have a nice place to stay while I'm there. If you like it too, beware because I liked it so much I'm thinking of buying it. At the very least, I'd like a copy of the plans. A couple of points of interest. Was there during rain showers which lasted nearly the entire stay of 3 nights. There are giant 100 foot trees only 20-30 feet away, and during the storm I heard a tree go down deeper in the forest and it was loud and violent. That house would be a pile of match sticks had one of the trees nearer fell upon it. Also, there is a pebble walkway and it's about 15-20 yards to the pebble drive-way. This set-up promotes a messy floor at the house. Plus it makes it difficult for elderly people like me to bring in and out things like suitcases and coolers. It's not well designed from that stand point. The step into the house is higher than my sore knee liked it, causing me to grab hold and hug the beams holding up the little roof over the entrance way. If it were my place, I'd black top the drive way and the walk-way and raise the walk way so the step to the house is only 5 inches, instead of more than twice that much. Finally, it's a clean and neat place.

Cozy architectural gem in the woods

Very cozy and modern accomdations just an 8 min car ride from devils lake state park. This cabin is nestled in the woods, surrounded by huge tress, singing birds, butterflies and more, a nature lovers dream. The kitchen is well equipt, the place is very clean and tidy. They are many interesting books to read and family fun games too. My family of 5 had a great time, swimming in Devils lake state park and hiking the trails. We had a fun time exploding downtown Baraboo too.

Ski Weekend

Daron's contemporary cabin in the woods was amazing. We were very close to Devil's Head Ski Resort and enjoyed a beautiful day of downhill skiing along with Cross Country skiing at Mirror Lake State Park. Everything was perfect!

Family Gathering

Unfortunately we could not enjoy our family gathering due to an illness. I did not purchase the travel insurance, and due to the short notice of cancelling our reservation - we were not authorized a refund. However, I communicated with the host, who was very professional and ensured me that there would be no hidden charges - and offered the possibility of a discount next time we are in the Baraboo area. Family members in the area drove by the property and said it looked lovely - and as advertised (at least from the outside!) Note to self (and others)... buy the travel insurance! We definitely will reach out to rent this property next time we're in town!

house, newer, clean, unkept lawn, no view

The house was clean, kind of small, setup ok. But we would not have stayed if we had seen the uncut/ unkept condition of the lawn/ landscape. You have a view of wild untouched wooded lot. Maybe that's what you want?
