Breakfast is plentiful and restocked every morning, a mixture of continental breakfast and with local delicacies.
The hotel has 2 pools: one in the roof top and then one in the bottom floor with a jacuzzi included

Breakfast was good. Staff in the restaurant was nice and friendly. The room needs some work: sink was clog, shower has mold, door in the frigo bar is falling apart.

The Solana is a fantastic hotel.
The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful - advising us what buses to get and where from (as the regular stops were temporarily closed), as well as advising us of all local discounts.
Check in and check out were simple and deficient.
The swimming pools on the roof were well maintained and have fantastic views of Mellieha,
The breakfast buffet had am excellent choice of food and the service was exemplary.
If you are staying in Mellieha and want to stay near the town centre, I would thoroughly recommend the Solana Hotel and Spa

Fantastic hotel in a wonderful setting. First class staff in every department- nothing was too much trouble. The restaurants on site are outstanding- The Caviar and Bull and Terragon by Sole are wonderful with high end dining and eating on the terrace is very special. The Spa is equally good. No negatives at all- a wonderful hotel and a wonderful stay. The staff at the poolside Oasis work tirelessy all day in the sun with a smile on their faces. Very good breakfast and plenty of tables in and outdoor. 4 or 5 pools to suit all ages.Excellent and we will definitely return.

The entrance to the hotel is lovely. The rooms are standard. Lack of plugs, usb charging in the telephones which took overnight to charge my phone. Soundproofing wasn't the best either, needed a room change as was woken up at 7am but a constant banging for above our room.
Staff was lovely. You have access to the free sundbeds on the beach although, they don't like you taking your own food and drink there as want you to purchase from their bar. Overall ok but didn't think it was worth the price

The property is old and needs renovation , it’s ideally located for visiting Valletta but not for people who have issues climbing stairs as there are lots outside .
For a 5 star property the check in was not good as we were not informed of the free shuttle they provide nor the sauna , steam room costs which we found out later that the indoor pool is free but the spa is run privately and change 15 euros to use the sauna unless your having a spa treatment .

I booked Sea View Suite for 3 nights, next property to stay with excellent food.
Staff is very good!! I worldly preferred to stay again and enjoy the whole property.
Only one thing which was not comfortable for me is double sofa bed in living room which was not so comfort to sleep due to sinking mattress.
