The pictures were way different - This is definitely one hotel needs maintenance. I rate it as 2 stars instead of 4. We waited 2 hrs to check in due to rooms were not ready.. For the breakfast it was always the same no good selection and always 1 hr late to start. WiFi not good at all. The bathroom smells sewage. A/C are not reliable as well.

Pamodzi is under new ownership and the soon to be Hyatt-affiliated property is undergoing substantial redevelopmemt, both inside and out. (So, there can be construction noise.) Current pluses: while oringinally built in 1979 and showing some age, the rooms are a good size, well eqipped, aircon and electricity reliable, and rooms are quiet (it was a solidly built hotel). Wifi worked consistently for 4 days, and staff were responsive. Excellent chicken quesadilla (a new dish on the menu). Location is good for government and business meetings. Minor issues: ongoing construction, prices are a bit high, especially for breakfast buffett, and there are signs of age. But this will be a significantly rejuvenated property in 6-12 months.
