When we booked this hotel, we somehow thought it was in Marbella and right on the beach...we were wrong on both counts. It is in Casares (near Marbella) and is about a 5-minute drive up the road from the beach. No matter, it has its own private Beach Club with prompt shuttle service. While the Beach Club is beautiful with a wonderful restaurant and spectacular pool, the beach itself is very uninspiring. I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.

Amazingly beautiful hotel, fantastic for golf lovers. The Spa is one of the most beautiful I ever saw, and I travelled a lot around the world. On view an antuques collection of more than 1200 pieces, impressive.

The place was ultra clean and even better looking than the photos. Great pool. We did walk to town and back once but a car or uber is needed if you return late. It was nice exploring the old town & beach but enjoyed returning ln the afternoon. Large Aldi not far to get food for meals if needed.

This is a wonderful place for a dream vacation. Unfortunately, we messed up our dinner choices for New Years and a few other nights. We didn’t realize that the Hotel had a sister property with more restaurants. We stayed at the better property but I wish that we had known about the sister property for New Years and more restaurant choices

Love our stay it was clean and in a great area. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed our time. Would go again.there is many restaurants in the area if felt very safe . We loved Estepona great place we also did a day trip to girbraltar which was fun. The people there are very friendly and the beach and bars are just steps away.

Spent two nights here in late June 2024 in and ocean front room. Hotel was recently opened and in great condition; sleek rooms with simple, yet classy aesthetic. The breakfast is top notch; the pool is lovely coupled with great beach access. Am now staying at a very fancy and much more expensive resort near Marbella, and feel METT was the far better option, especially for the price. We loved the hotel! It was fully booked and still you didn't feel it. The layout of the hotel facilities was great. The apartment had everything you need for a stay with small kids, it's quite spacious and comfortable. It was nice that we could choose to either go to the restaurant or have a homemade meal.
