Family of 6, from the U.S., stayed 3 nights. Two separate rooms. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Greeted us a with a yummy non-alcoholic drink. Area seemed very safe. We walked to restaurants nearby. The mall, which also has a grocery store, is about a 15-minute walk. Rooms are nothing fancy but nice. Beds were very hard but that has been our experience throughout Brazil. Another Brazil quirk is no washcloths. I bought a dish rag, to wash my face, during our stay in another hotel because they don't have them. Breakfast was really good especially the coconut cake and KitKat hot chocolate. Pool was big and water was warm. Lots of places to lounge. Had some food and drinks by the pool which were good. Pool staff were attentive. Loumar Tourism has a desk in the lobby. We used them for transportation to and from the airport and to the Argentina side for pick up to the falls. We didn't use them for the tour on the Argentina side or the Brazilian side, but had I known this before I would have.
The only downside is we could hear the room directly below us plain as day in the bathroom. We had two separate rooms, so it was a good thing family was staying below, or it might have been awkward. We seriously could have a conversation without raising our voices. No tissues in Brazil either.
