My group of 3 friends and I had a wonderful Amazon experience recently at Cabana Nativa Paraiso where we stayed 2 nt/ 3 days. While our rooms (2 singles and 1 twin cabin) are basic - only 1 room has hot shower, the air con works great - a step up from my Peruvian Amazon lodge! Food is home cooked and delicious with fresh juices at breakfast and lunch. Activities give a good understanding of Amazon life and our guides Eddy and Marcelo are amazing!! Transfer to lodge from Manaus by boat/ VW van/ boat takes about 2.5- 3 hrs so very convenient.

Excellent people and very good hospitality, property is uniquely located on the Ariau river. Stay was reasonable and family friendly activities.

We absolutely loved our stay at Vista do Lago. The logistics for picking us up in downtown Manaus and taking us to the lodge and returning us to the airport were well organized and everything went smoothly. Upon our arrival, we were warmly received before proceeding to our bungalow which had everything we needed (comfortable beds, air conditioning, towels, a fridge stocked with cold drinks that we could enjoy as needed and pay for at the end of our stay). The meals were wonderful. First of all, there was a lot of variety (including lots of delicious fish) to choose from. The fresh fruit and desserts were also yummy! But the chef also made special gluten-free carb options for my friend. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful and always stood ready to help. The excursions were very enjoyable and we appreciated having a mix of nature-based activities with getting a sense of how people in the village and surrounding areas live. During our stay, there were families with children who enjoyed the small pool. And we all enjoyed the hammocks in the common area. I would return there in a heartbeat!
