Perfect condo and location

The condo was fantastic. Lots of space and being on the ground floor was so convenient for being at the pool. The grounds were well maintained and the infinity pool was awesome. Perfect location for walking to restaurants and the beach. Would definitely stay here again

Beautiful Top floor condo with incredible views

We only got to stay for four days, but totally relaxing. Great to wake up and look out at the water and see the colors of the sea. The condo is really cute and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks so much to the staff and Gina!

Wonderful stay

This is our second time booking this rental and we will try to make this a yearly trip because it is just so amazing. It’s a beautiful condo with a stunning view. Great restaurants and things to do all within walking distance.

Great place with amazing view right on the bay. Top notch 24 hour staff - super helpful and friendly. Location is perfect - can walk to everything or rent bikes on the property. Must be able to walk up 2,flights of stairs for this unit

Beautiful stay

The condo is absolutely beautiful and worth the trip. We are definitely planning on returning! The ocean view from the balcony is phenomenal (the beach is right below you!) and you can hear the ocean from every room in the condo. Very peaceful.

Perfect getaway!

The condo was perfect for my wife and I to escape the Michigan winter for a week. We loved the fact that so many places are within walking distance from the condo. Plenty to do between relaxing by the pool or beach, to snorkeling in the bay. Sea weed was a bit of a surprise, but that was a problem no matter where we went including all the beaches in Tulum. Overall it was a great stay.

Amazing View, Great Beach Access, Super Safe

We had a great stay. Well appointed condo. Olive oil and salt provided which I think should be standard. Easy to use the TV to stream. 24 hour security sits in front of the building. Wonderful service. 365 degree ocean views from the kitchen/family room.

Great 1BR condo on the beach

Loved my stay here. Beautiful view of HalfMoon Bay in the sleepy town of Akumal The owner, Gina, is great. Responds to questions quickly. Very nice 3rd floor condo with balcony, kitchen, living room, bedroom. Comfortable & complete in this small, clean complex with a pool. 20 min. walk to town. A couple of very good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this owner and the condo. Great stay..

Pros -Excellent location, we stayed here February 27 - March 13, 2023 on the 3rd floor Large TV, Great Space, Fantastic Ocean View, Large Fridge, well supplied dishes & pots & pans. Loved the fresh supply of drinking water c/w hot and cold dispenser Cons - Bed needs to be replaced very bad dips on both side. Thank you Gina we would definitely recommend staying here

Quiet and quaint

Wonderful views and very well kept property. Kitchen has everything needed for any meal prep. Take advantage of the local farmers markets. Half moon bay has great snorkeling as long as the wind isn't out of the east. Make sure to cover the drain in the shower as there isn't a trap and sewer gas comes out of it when the wind is blowing.

Best getaway!

The location was perfect; right on the beach, beautiful snorkeling right in front, walk or bike ride to all areas of Akumal. So many things to do or you can just lie around and let the world pass you by. The apt was very comfortable, super clean. The onsite staff answered all of our questions, set up transportation and were super accommodating. Gina is a fantastic host. responded quickly to all my questions and had great suggestions on what to do and where to eat while in Akumal. I will definitely be coming back with my whole family next time

Great Location, Comfy and Close to Everything

I have been coming to Quintana Roo for 20+ years, staying in various locations in Akumal and Tulum. I love this property! It is a smaller community, quiet, and close to great restaurants. We enjoyed exploring the area during the day, and taking a dip in the pool in the evenings. Our favorite event was sitting on the back deck, both morning and night, looking out over the water. Pure bliss! The unit was well appointed and our maid left it spotless for us each day. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful quiet and relaxing.

We loved the condo we stayed in. It’s in a protected section right on the bay. The breeze from the gulf was constant and the beauty outstanding. Our host has nice taste in the appointments. The condo was comfortable and everything we needed had been thought of. The staff was friendly and eager to assist. The pool was used daily. No insects, restaurants were nearby and incredible. Only issue was the beach is rocky and not easily waded in. There however nearby beaches was sandy swimmable beach outside Akumal maybe 20 minutes. Very fun. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Trip experience

The listing couldn't have been more accurate. Everything was truely wonderful. Beautiful views, beach, pool and overall no issues. Great restaurants close by. Quiet town perfect for relaxing. Things that weren't advertised on listing but perks- you can rent snorkel gear and life jackets at service desk, helpful front desk services- called and arrange taxi, rental of golf carts or bicycles and excursions, provided coffee , sugar and filters for morning, and provided drinkable distilled water that can be filled whenever you need for no extra cost, and daily maid service. Beach had sargassum (seaweed) but was cleaned daily by wonderful hard working men. Thanks for a wonderful trip.

Fall asleep to the sound of waves on the beach!

This is a lovely property. Has a great room with all the kitchen amenities needed for a lovely escape. Nobody between you and the beach! Very comfortable bedroom. All very tastefully decorated. Right on the beach. Comes with a small pool with loungers around pool plus lounges on the beach under Palapas. Vehicle is essential. There are two nice restaurants within walking distance. And a small groceteria for basic essentials. We drove into the local village which is just across the highway, to do our shopping and to buy some of the local offerings of tacos, tortas,etc. etc. There is some pretty good snorkeling directly out front of the property. While we were there, it was fairly stormy and turbulent and fit only for strong, experienced swimmers. In calm situations it would be excellent for anybody comfortable in the water. Saw lots of butterfly fish, a couple of mature French angels… Access to the road to this property is controlled at its entrance, so it feels very quiet and secure.

Relaxing Time

The place was very nice and comfortable. The sargassum was there, but it didn't stop us from enjoying the scenery & beach. The local restaurants were very good. We will be back again.

La Joya #6

Having stayed at La Joya in several of their villas, including #6, in the past, we know the property and the area very well. The staff is outstanding and cleanliness is top notch. The complete renovation of villa #6 was impressive considering it's original decor & layout. We liked it, but we thought it could have been renovated without abandoning all flavor of Mexico. It looked like any beachside villa in Florida. Any single room in our home here in Wisconsin has more Mexico flair than La Joya #6. The great news is, it's not too late to bring it back. Decor and trimmings set the mood. When in Mexico.........
