Great location and a comfortable room. A little challenging getting to the front door, in the front door, and to the front desk (on the second floor - no signs) the first time. It’s on a limited access road, but there’s a taxi stand a block away.

First, this is no a traditional hotel. It’s two floors of a dirty old apartment building. You enter via door code next to several trash cans and walk up two flights of stairs to an elevator to the third floor reception, which is only open 8am-3pm. Staff was helpful providing after hours access via WhatsApp chat. The room was fortunately cleaner and brighter than the stairway and corridor, which stank of cigarette smoke, with modern finishes. However, the air conditioning did not work and since there’s no on-site staff, it was not addressed until the following day. Additionally, the best was among the oldest, least comfortable my wife or I have ever tried to sleep on. Lots of corridor noise throughout the night. We ended up departing after only one night into our three night stay so we could better sleep.

The hotel is very close to the Spanish Steps. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are basic and small, including the suites.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I had very low expectations for the included breakfast but it was fantastic. Homemade baked goods every morning, breakfast sandwiches, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, different types of breads, cereal. We were always offered a cappuccino. It was great. It's a bit of a walk from the city center but it's very doable and the public transit system is great. I will stay here again the next time I'm in Rome.
