"Such a classic Tuscany location. Beautiful old Watermill turned into a hotel so it is very rustic. Cell phone service on the area is not good but WiFi seemed fine. Pools were nice but not too big and not a lot of space to accommodate all guests. Enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were helpful. "

"Excellent staff!! My wife and I were there for a week. Very friendly, attentive and professional staff. Great facilities and dining! Very quiet, and calm. Definitely get a SUV car-the last km or so is unpaved roads-quite a drive but so worth it when you get to the property! Hope to be back."

"We had a really good time at this property. Everything was very clean and it was well equipped for what we wanted. It was very hot whilst we were there, so the air con and pool were very much appreciated! The town itself has several decent restaurants (so no need to cook, if you dont want to!) and there are some local buses but a car is needed really to make the most of the wider surrounding area (including the beautiful pool).The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful with any queries and gave us some good recommendations on the local area. I would recommend Il Campanile as a great place to stay in the Tuscan countryside."

"Loved it! Super helpful at check-in telling us about everything that was available. We wrote horses for two hours at a very affordable price. The restaurant on site was was good and breakfast was wonderful. Hiking trails and views were amazing. Would definitely stay again. Nearest grocery and shopping were only about 15 minutes away in montevechi."

"The manager Mavi was very sweet and helpful. She made the check in process very simple, answered any of our questions, and gave us recommendations of places to visit. The property was on a beautiful vineyard with a gorgeous view. I highly recommend!!"

"Bit of confusion regarding room and breakfast. I think the error was from both the hotel and Expedia. However after discussion with management all was resolved very amicably because of friendly nature of staff who went out it of their way to resolve the issues . "

"Monica was the friendliest most enthusiastic host we’ve stayed with. Everything from her greeting to the amazing breakfast was perfect. She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Parking was on the street, but it was fairly close and easy."

" We had an incredible stay in this charming villa. There was plenty of room for our family of eight. We were welcomed by our host, David , who responded to our every need. He arranged a special wine tasting for us with delicious cheese and charcuterie . We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the lovely scenery. The town of Gaiole in Chianti was an easy car ride to enjoy a morning cappuccino or an amazing dinner at the local restaurants. We explored the many places and wineries in the area and found the hospitality to be exceptional. "

"Our extended family (grandparents, parentts/siblings and 2yo/1yo/baby) had an amazing family trip in Tuscany at the villa. The hosts were responsive and accommodating - adding a crib to the roster so we could all travel easy! The gorgeous villa comfortable accommodated the 8 adults and 3 babies, with room to spare. The views of the property are stunning and the proximity of the pool to the house made it so easy to step outside and relax. The 2 year old started each morning picking a grape off of the vine. We were even abke to watch a harvest from the yard! We enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and had a chef come. We enjoyed many family meals in the dining room table and made lasting family memories. You can feel the love and warmth in this home! The location was great - walking or a short drive into town. We also did a couple of day trips to nearby cities. It was an ideal location and made traveling with children as easy as possible. We cannot say enough good things about the hosts and property manager. They gave us great confidence in booking an international trip! We highly recommend and hope to be back. "

"Beautiful and quiet"

"This is a great accommodation. Room is spacious, comfortable and updated. Our room was above the Bistro which was great for a glass of wine at the end of the day and coffee and breakfast in the morning. Visit the Brolio Castle for great valley views. Wine tasting at Ricasoli is excellent. Everyone we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Finally Osteria Brolio the on site restaurant is worth trying good food well prepared. Overall very positive experience highly recommend you visit and stay."

"It was wonderful to stay in a castle in Tuscany no less Every person we met was attentive and kind We were staying near friends and didn’t hang around the grounds much or use the pool but everything seemed well kept It’s really a place to retreat to eat at and sleep at which served our purpose well "
