"Sao Martinho is a jewel of a town and this place is close walking distance to everything. When the sun’s out, you couldn’t ask for a better place. Great yard with parking. Since it rained quite a bit during our stay, it dampened our visit. Again, we went during the off-season. Scott is very attentive and accommodating. Will go back to this place."

"We just got back from a 4 day stay at this gorgeous house and the only thing wrong was that it wasn’t long enough!! The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is spotless with a well appointed kitchen and lots of space on the three levels to relax. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the furniture. And the views are incredible. The housekeeper and host are amazing. Very easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful. We look forward to returning to Casa Do Mar soon! Thank you!!"

"We travelled from the South of Spain in the summer to go somewhere cooler that had access to Golf, and plenty of space for our two dogs. Most days were 23C or thereabouts, and the property is on the edge of some great dog walking tracks. Pool was warm and clean, and property comfortable and everything worked well during our stay."

"A beautiful villa which was very clean and had everything you would need. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had every utensil we needed. The closeness of Pingo Doce supermarket which was 10 minutes away meant we were never without fresh fish, meat , salad and wine. It was great to have the swimming pool to come back to after a day at the local beach in Foz Do Arelho, our favourite and surrounded by wonderful restaurants. We would definitely go back again and enjoy the surroundings even...

"We had a fantastic stay in our castle on the hill. It was a fun few days staying inside the castle walls and we especially loved wandering the roads toward the end of the day when the crowds had left. Rodrigo the property owner was fantastic to work with. He was on the phone with us as we drove into Obidos, even guiding us on where to park. He even assisted us in fabulous dinner reservations. The apartment is darling and so very cool. We even had a horse drawn carriage drive right underneath...

"We had a bit of a problem when we arrived. First, the property address was not entirely correct and our Google Maps and Apple Maps took us to a place about a half mile from the property. We did not have a phone number for Joachim and when we called Homeaway, they couldn't locate him immediately. We found the property on our own by cruising the neighborhood, but had no way to get in. "This villa is exactly as the photos show.It is extremely well laid out and comfortable. The heated pool is absolutely brilliant and so enjoyable for everyone. Te area is quiet and a short walk to the beach or the local shops. Sao Martinho has a fantastic selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. "First the POSITIVE: Beautiful home with an incredible view. Lots of space, wonderful furnishings. Local managers are responsive and helpful when we asked about pool temperature (too cold to use most days), beach towels (locked up and unavailable), bike condition (broken and un usable). Note the listing also indicates a clothes dryer is available - but is is not functional. The NEGATIVE: "Musty, stale smell" (from the basement presumably) so penetrates the house that the smell is always present....

Only drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't working and that wasn't disclosed to us until checkin, hense the 3* on description. Nicola, the property mgr. was great to accommodate with fans. Location was wonderful, quiet neighborhood, close to large grocery store and an easy 10 minute walk to the boardwalk with restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again."
