As advertised, a great view over the Barton Creek area west of town. We had no issues getting to downtown Austin. Apple Maps provided a nice back road way to downtown, near Lake Austin, if you tire of the highways. As some other reviews noted, all the essentials provided, though you may have expected a few more things that you may have at your home. Also, the neighborhood itself is convenient to church and retail. The host was accommodative to our requests and quick to respond. Just note, home is located on a access drive off the main subdivision road.. We wish that there were pathways to access the scenic areas beyond the subdivision. ##### John E. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. Easy to get anywhere in Austin from that location. For the price/night, I would expect more in the house when compared to my previous experience with VRBO’s, Negatives: the home has basic furnishings and lacks decorating. No extras for families (like board games), no kitchen cloth towels and no wine glasses (although the owner tried to correct that by bringing over champagne glasses) and very little kitchen utensils (many of which were disposable plastic wear). Beds were extremely comfortable. The only suggestion that I would make would be to have more towels and washcloths available so you don't have to wash every day and to put kleenex in each bathroom. Large common area was great for hanging out, beds were comfortable, great porch to sit out and have morning coffee. Host was responsive and easy to work with.
