Badia Vecchia played an important defensive role over the years. Now a historic attraction, you can just imagine some of the spectacles its fortified walls have witnessed.
This history-filled fortress is often on the itineraries of visitors to Taormina. But Badia Vecchia isn't the only drawcard in the area. Greek Theatre, Lido Mazzaro, and Taormina Cable Car are some other interesting sights nearby.
