Excellent hotel, great location. Rooms are large and well equipped. Excellent breakfast. Our room was listed as Partial Bay View, which is an overstatement, as it was a room closest to the road with only a tiny bit of Bay visible when leaning out. Other than that highly recommended.

No doubt this is a beautiful location. Staff was friendly, room was nice. We never got hot water at any of the sink faucets. That could be because we were at the far end of the property away from the boiler. The shower was warm enough to bath, but it never got as hot as you would expect. The train was really loud in the middle of the night. There is nothing the property can do about that, but if a continuous night's sleep is important to you, this may not be your best choice.

We had a fun girls night. Enjoyed the spa - the restaurant was wonderful and the view from our room was to die for! Staff was fantastic. It was a lovely stay! And good running area by the water in front of the hotel. They warn you about train noise (and we were right above it) and we were not disturbed in the least.

First visit 4 years ago for my daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner. Dinner on their patio overlooking the water made for a beautiful evening. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable bedding. My husband and I make it a point to return every year for weekend gateways. The train passes nightly and can be loud for some rooms facing the tracks but honestly we don’t mind - they provide earplugs but we’ve never had to use them.

It is always delightful to stay at the Chrysalis. The view is always special and every room we have stayed in features the view and giving you every opportunity to enjoy it in a peaceful way. The food is always good; the location is perfect for walking around and exploring; plenty of things to do around Fairhaven. If you have a car, driving through forested areas to the coastline; lovely. Spa treatments are first rate and relaxing. People ask us why we go to Bellingham/Fairview; staying at that Chrysalis is our reason.

Cozy room with a beautiful view of the bay. Parking is tight so find a good spot and walk to restaurants in Fairhaven. We visit Bellingham a lot so we knew to bring earplugs to block the train noise, you can't stay anywhere in town without hearing the trains.
