We relaxed at an inn that felt like home. Our room was the Black Eyed Susan. In warmer months, we imagine sitting on the private balcony/deck area. Instead we enjoyed perfect winter views from our room. We awoke to delicious breakfasts! These alone make the Inn at Manchester a "must stay" inn! AMAZING BREAKFASTS! Clean and comfortable. Plenty of public areas to relax and enjoy a fire. A bar for a drink. And local restaurants for unusual fare and fine dining options. Mostly, A HUGE THANK YOU to the staff for calling us promptly when they found my toiletry bag left behind. This was a great relief as we were not too far along on our journey home and we were able to turn around and retrieve it. Don’t overthink it, this is the place to stay if you are looking for the quintessential New England experience. Everything was perfect: the room (Cinnamon), the grounds, the breakfast, and especially the service. The property (Inn and grounds) were gorgeous, clean, calm and quiet. Nightcap drinks at the bar were excellent. Breakfast of pancakes and bacon was phenomenal. The staff (Todd especially) could not have been better and have easily blown away every other location we stayed at during our trip (and that we can ever recall). Todd was a wealth of knowledge of the region and greeted us immediately with a smile and charm that made us feel like we were home.
