The Furnace Town Historic Site offers a collection of 19th-century artisan studios and buildings, along with stories of Furnace Town. Visit the quaint Julia A. Purnell Museum to admire some of her 1,000 pieces of crewel embroidery and other items from the Victorian era.
Near Snow Hill, the Beach to Bay Indian Trail is a driving and biking trail along Nassawango Creek Preserve, which offers fantastic kayaking through the wilderness. At Crisfield, Janes Island State Park offers access to the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. To the north, visit Princess Anne, with about 300 buildings registered as national places.
The Blue Crab Scenic Byway travels about 250 miles (400 kilometers) between Princess Anne and Ocean City on the Atlantic Ocean, creating a loop roughly the shape of a crab. Allow time for multiple stops at fascinating attractions along the way.
