The host was great with updates and needed information for the stay. Urban Oasis was a great find - only thing that it is close to town and the local Fire Department, so at times it was noisy. But it's real selling point is its location. Although sort of hiding behind a sign shop, it's right in the heart of Boone, within walking distance of many good restaurants and breweries. Has a very nice kitchen area, which we did not use during our one night stay. The location is excellent - one block walk to the heart of downtown Boone. We were able to easily walk to the Performing Arts center on campus for a concert. A/C is a window unit (not central air), but it felt cool enough for me. Parking is off-street, but the alley back to the duplex is tight. A large SUV would be tough to maneuver and park, IMO.
