It's a historic building on the main highway so it was noisy at night (thin walls) but I was prepared for that. I got there late and left early so I didn't eat there but everyone was friendly and it's a cute place. And it's in the center of town so I was able to walk around and look at all the historic buildings.

Overall a good stay. That said, the mattress was uncomfortable. Also, there was no guidance as to how to turn the heat on. And there were very few plugs to charge phones etc. Again, a good stay overall but don't expect too much.

I always wanted to stay at the Bridgeport Inn and finally got my chance - I was not disappointed and in fact it was even better than I hoped! It's not your typical hotel/motel experience so if that's what you want you should try somewhere else. But, if you want to stay in a cool old hotel, love antiques and history, and enjoy a great bar and food then this is your place. I got a single room with a bathroom since I was concerned about bathroom privacy. I checked out the shared bathroom situation since it's not well described on the hotel site - it's a shared bathroom but the bathroom itself is private behind a door; same as the shower room. I would not hesitate to get one of those rooms in the future. The motel part (new building) was not appealing to me but I like the old buildings so maybe that's just me. I will be looking for a reason to stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay! Friendly staff, very helpful! We loved the property and having a great porch sitting area was just a perfect ending to day of driving! Awesome that there is a delicious restaurant right there and wow! does the bar make one stiff drink! Perfect!
