“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all……

“The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. "I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the room was not very pleasant—it felt quite outdated and wasn’t as clean as expected, with noticeable spider webs. In addition, it was quite noisy in the morning, which made it difficult to rest properly. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were excellent. They were very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, while the staff made a good impression, the condition of the room and the noise levels could really use improvement."
