The bus stop is 20metres away and has a regular service to Mahon which you can then jump on a bus to anywhere around the Island it is also a nice walk to Mahon. There is a supermarket a few metres away and on the harbourside a select of restaurants and wine bars. The perfect location for a few days away or a base to tour the island."

"Stayed last minute due to a flight cancellation staff on reception at check in were amazing and really helpful.
They were accommodating when we requested a room change. We only ate breakfast the choice was very good as was the quality.You do need a car as quite remote but the small town has a couple of restaurants.
The chain does have other hotels in the town and has a small train that links them every 20 mins.

the place is perfect! isolated but close both to mahon and es castell, is big but makes you feel at home, is old, but with historical markers and a story behind it.

"Lovely small boutique hotel in the heart of town. Close to shops and restaurants, a real gem. Room was spacious with spa bath, and large shower/vanity area. Bed excellent with great air/con and facilities. Spa with small pool area and self service bar on rooftop floor. Owner and staff on hand to help and breakfast was plentiful and good quality. "This was our 3rd stay at Barcelo Hamilton and wouldn’t consider anywhere else in the neighbourhood. East stroll round to Cales Fonts in 5 minutes, equally up to bus stop to Mahón and beyond. Be sure to get a sea facing room with balcony, possibly more expensive but worth every penny. "
"When we first arrived it was late and on getting into the room we were a little disappointed; it’s very basic with no tea/coffee facilities and the mattress on the bed is extremely thin and hard. It was clean, but just felt a bit bare and tired - my partner likened it to staying at your nans house!
However, we started relaxing into the place after the first day. The pool area is really rustic and special, and at times you could literally hear a pin drop around it.
If they were to add a few little luxury touches to the room/bathroom it would make all the difference in terms of comfort and we just felt that at over £300 a night, it should have been a better standard. Including the toiletries as they seemed very cheap with the conditioner very runny, smelling of pva glue and not conditioning at all, so do remember to pack plenty of your own!
All in all it was a lovely stay - the staff are extremely kind & courteous and we adored the relaxed vibe of the island."
