To anyone wondering, this is more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms are dark and small, and so are the bathrooms. We had to find somewhere to stay our one night in Campeche and it was a cheap solution, but you get what you pay for.

Convenient but small rooms.
The hotel is located very close to the central square, yet not in the touristy part, which was nice. Rooms were clean, staff friendly and we were able to park our car right outside where they have a dedicated spot. However, the rooms are very small, and there is no breakfast - but easy walk to several nice spots. Also, no wifi in room, only in main areas.

Mostly good with annoying little problems
Well located inside the city walls, quiet, clean, comfortable bed with firm mattress, reasonable price, good A/C and hot water in shower, good wifi. The decor and furnishings are modern, and the rooms are thoroughly cleaned. But maintenance appears to be neglected. In our bathroom the hinges on the shower door were rusting and the door would not close properly so water from the shower wet the bathroom floor. The toilet tank would not refill after a flush; we had to remove the lid of the toilet tank to make it work. When we reported the problem to the front desk they showed no interest and never sent anyone to check the toilet. You need to speak basic Spanish; none of the staff speak any English (this is generally true in Campeche). The rooms are small with little storage space.

Large and comfortable room in colonial building
We loved our stay at hotel catedral. It is located within the walls of the historical center. The area is beautiful and the building is superb. High ceilings, large shower, plenty of space in the room. It was simply decorated with nice and practical furniture. The only negative point I have is there was little water pressure in the shower and it took a while for the hot water to come. I would come back!
