"The whole place stank of old cooking oil. Sticky dirty bannisters. The bed linen and crockery were clean. I had booked for a few nights but left after one as could not sleep because of the disgusting smell. "

"A lovely Easter break with the family in the beautiful Dales. A superb location where our little boy (5) could run and play freely and we could enioy the gorgeous landscape.
Our hosts were so welcoming and caring, and even went above and beyond when our little one wasn't feeling so well on the second night. They couldn't help us enough.
Lovely breakfast, relaxed and calm atmosphere and some wonderful doggys and chickens much to our 5 year olds enjoyment!
We will definitely be back!!"

"We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Denecrest Guest House in Windermere. The host was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, perfect for our little family.
The location is ideal, just a few minutes from Windermere town, close to shops, and near a park, which was great for our toddler. We appreciated the secure lock system and the cleanliness of the facilities.
Although we did not have breakfast, the tea and coffee station, fridge, and microwave were...

"Staff were super friendly and helpful and called before our arrival to make sure that the right type of room was being reserved for us, and then checked in again on arrival day, to see if we wanted any food pre-ordered before the restaurant closed (as we were arriving late evening). Really helpful and thoughtful.
The room was super comfortable, clean and up to date.
Would definitely stay again, if we are back in the area."
"The room was very well appointed with ornate, high quality furniture generating a comfortable and unique experience. Kev and Maria were very welcoming in making us feel like our stay was a home from home."
