"Looking a little tired and dated, room very nice and comfortable, but bed side light hanging loose? Staff helpful and polite, if a little too quick to shut down at later evening time? Food was good, but need more choices"

"Just a one-night stay but the hotel provided everything we needed, including secure parking, a spacious and well equipped room with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "
"I have stayed at this hotel several times and I have never found a speck of dust or a marked or unclean surface. I have always enjoyed a good undisturbed sleep. The staff are very helpful and even uncorked some wine for me. Its location is fantastic, just off the n20/a20. Free parking and free strong Wi-Fi. It is next to a retail park , cheap fuel available at carrefour. There are several fast food restaurants nearby. It’s a real bargain "
"This was a great experience, the Chateau is huge and the walls are covered with artifacts from several eras gone by. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dinning room with history in every nook and cranny. Breakfast was delicious, with numerous pastries made in house, along with artisan jam and toast, yogurt, hot coffee and orange juice, and fruit salad.
Our room was accessible through a hidden door behind a book case and was equally full of history. It had two comfortable arm chairs for reading, wooden window coverings to block out the light and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had both a stand alone soaker tub and a shower, with plenty of hot water and good pressure.
Our host Ivo is also the owner and an author and gave excellent recommendations for local dining. We really enjoyed chatting with him and hearing the history of the Chateau.
Saint-Chartier is definitely off the beaten path, but if you are looking for history and really unique experience, I'd highly recommend it. "
