St. Hedwig's Cathedral is an interesting place to begin discovering Mitte. This principal church comes recommended by fellow travelers, but it's not the only spot to see here. This is an excellent hotel. The rooms, staff and amenities are all First Rate. And the view from our room overlooking the Zoo was unbelievable. Who wakes up with Kangaroos running around just outside their window?
Our only caution is it is a bit remote, far from public transit and walking through the pitch black Tiergarten at night is not an option.

Lovely hotel! We had a nice spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Shower was excellent. Warm bathrobe was a nice touch, too. Staff was very friendly.
