"This place is perfect for a chilled out couples getaway. Aptly named The Hygge Out, it really emboidies all that is Hygge; from the clean asthetics and peaceful location to the 'back to basics' concept, albiet luxurious with the stove and hot tub being wood fired!
The owners were downright lovely. Communication beforehand was great. They gave clear instructions for how to find the location and of any extras we might be interested in. Upon arrival there were concise instructions for use of the...

"Beach view from room was stunning, but windows desperatley needed cleaning. Lots of tea and coffee which can easily be replenished at reception (staff were much better this time!) ; rooms aren't tidied unless you request it, which I really liked as you're not disturbed. Location is fantastic, over 100 steps down to the beach but there is a public lift for about £1:50 return, or a number 2 bus every hour which drops you outside the hotel from the sea-front. Lots of eating places plus banks/betting shops near by and a very, very good One Stop round the corner. Parking is a nightmare, beware that I saw a traffic warden handing out tickets early Saturday morning. Lift to lower floors (reception is floor 4) really poor/slow/only carries 3 people. Helps burn the calories though - over 80 steps to reception. Bathroom and shower were really good. Overall positives massively outweigh the negatives and love it here; come by train, burn those calories and enjoy the stunning views, beach/superb sea and the heart of Scarborough! Fantastic value in a place with real character thankyou!"
"Fully equipped and very clean. The back garden needs a bit of attention to make it more attractive and was disappointed there wasn’t an hot tub as advertised. Not a deal breaker for me as I was solo but could be for a couple if they were expecting one. Good location close to the beach. Everything was as expected. "
