"This is an excellent little hotel, pet friendly, a very short drive or cheap Uber away from Tavira. As others have remarked, it is not suitable for anyone wishing to walk in the immediate area due to the busy roads and lack of pedestrian access to countryside. We found the staff to be unfailingly kind and courteous, going out of their way to assist. The room was spacious with a balcony and everything one could reasonably expect at this price point, including coffee maker/ hot water dispenser ( pods from reception for a modest charge) and fridge.The air conditioning was efficient and adjustable. There was an extensive choice at breakfast, including hot and cold dishes, good cakes and pastries and a variety of milks such as soy and almond. The white coffee from the machine was unpleasant to our tastes, but was easily solved by microwaving milk of choice and using the separate espresso machine. There is a separate grill restaurant/ takeaway on site serving a good range of dishes at reasonable prices. It was well patronised by locals. The fumes from grilling were unwelcome at times depending on wind direction. The infinity pool was clean and scrupulously maintained. Towels were free of charge. Chairs and loungers available poolside. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as being of excellent value."

"Extensive breakfast buffet, hardworking, helpful staff, comfortable rooms and great outside areas. Some parts of the hotel, notably the dining room, could use an update but this did not detract from our stay."

"The only item I can say wasn't 100% to my satisfaction was the water pressure in the shower. I know I'm nitpicking. The breakfast was wonderful and there were so many different cheeses to try (7? 8?) and breads to choose from. "

"Véronique and Sergey were brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave us oranges and lemons from their garden.The apartment was perfect. Very spacious and even better than the photographs. The outside balcony was perfect for sunny breakfasts with a good size table and very comfortable loungers. The swimming pool was kept very clean.The area is beautiful and you can walk easily into Santa Luzia where there is a very regular ferry to take you to the beach. There is a very nice cafe opposite the ferry too. Several good restaurants in Santa luzia but we also drive into Tavira which is a beautiful town with many restaurants to choose from.I would not hesitate to recommend Véronique’s place and we would love to return. "

"This hotel has alot of charm. Its character is quaint European, the room is small, but sufficient for two people. Bed is comfortable and the area is quiet. Great central location with easy access to island ferry."

"A friend recommended the Santa Luzia/Tavira area for a stay. We booked Brian's place and immediately fell in love with the place, location and food. Excellent walking distance into Tavira town. Excellent beach access. Excellent food right outside the residence. Brian was a gracious host, sharing information with us. We loved the whole setup of the property and everything in perfect working order. Highly recommended!!"
