Beautiful 1800"s home furnished with suitable to the era furniture. There are 5 bedrooms and are unique to their special name. We stayed in the McIntosh Room. Spacious enough for two, with comfortable bed. The only downside is that the bath is a shared bathroom with 2 other rooms, though honestly, we had no problems in sharing the bathroom. We were there just as fall had arrived so to fault the property for not having the leaves etc. picked up was not fair. Breakfast was delicious(quiche, with fresh fruit, bagels & muffins) and the decaf coffee some of the best I've had!

Stayed here for a night on a road trip and I don’t think I could have made a better choice. Beautiful area, very homey and welcoming atmosphere, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious homemade quiche, along with other continental choices. Heidi was the inn keeper during my stay and she was an excellent hostess. Would stay again!

I stayed at the Boxley while bicycle touring from Charlottesville to Richmond. The staff was amazing and accommodated my unusual arrival time, was flexible about storing my bike safely, helped me figure out dinner in the area, and arranging breakfast. I loved it!

Beautiful property. The grounds are lovely, and the historic home is really well laid out, and gorgeous. The innkeeper, Elaine, was great. Enthusiastic, witty, and helpful. Really cute room and shared bath. The breakfast options were really nice as well. Highly recommend.
