Great location just a minute from the beach and also a short walk to town. Loved they had beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels available to borrow. Room was basic but had everything we needed.
We loved our stay at Surfside Inn, and look forward to visiting again soon. Laura was delightful and very helpful. In addition, it is the perfect place to stay. It's location is perfect, walking distance to Lighthouse Beach (I mean mere foot steps), and walking distance to downtown Chatham.
Great location across the street from a beautiful beach. They have every beach amenity you will need. Friendly, helpful management. Thank you for a great stay
I liked the friendly staff, clean rooms, casual vibe and while the free breakfast is just bread products it was nice to also have fruit available. Great location and wonderful beach items you could use was awesome. The only downside was my room location. I like being on the first floor but my room shared a wall with the lobby so when people came and went the front door slamming was irritating but it was mainly in the morning otherwise it was fairly quiet.
Great property! Close proximity to the beach, short walk to shops and restaurants, and friendly staff. Daily happy hour and morning continental breakfast add to the experience. We are looking forward to staying again!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good location, was disappointed about the room size.
Beautifully situated on a charming quiet street VERY close to a secluded beach. The room was clean well laid out, the lobby and porch were comfortable. For the price, there should have been maid service. At the very least, emptying of the teeny waste baskets and supplying of fresh towels.
This was a very quaint inn, close to the water and very walkable to town. The staff was fantastic. The bathroom could use some updating along with places to hang up clothes. Saying all that, I would stay again.
Anyone who gives this place a bad review is a picky binch. Rooms are clean and comfortable, property is adorable, proximity to beach spectacular, staff delightful. Yes, it's not the Chatham Bars, but it's also not Bars' prices, so get over it.
Super cute property on a quiet side road. It's outdated, though that gives it most of its charm. Staff were super friendly and was greeted with wine and cheese when we arrived. The only issue was that I was not expecting the stairs to be so steep (was traveling with an older person). Right near the beach and walking distance to downtown Chatham.
Value oriented, well
Located (beach about 2 mins and downtown the other way 5 mins). Staff was attentive and friendly. Clean, well taken care of. This is not a high end hotel despite its high end location. You’ll find clean, updated rooms. Bit of a throwback when you could bring a family to a Chatham and not break the bank (and be treated fairly).

Good location - walkable to the beach. Friendly manager/front desk. They offer a Continental breakfast and afternoon wine in the public area. However, this is a historic building and the walls/floors are really thin. I got to hear all kinds of fun things from my upstairs neighbors—from snoring to conversations to sex. No daily maid service; they said it was "upon request," so I requested that the bed be made. Still no service. Would not stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
While the location and the common areas were perfect, the room was tiny and the bathroom was ridiculously small with barely any access to the toilet. The view was spectacular but a dorm room is bigger than this one. Also, I specified that it was for 2 adults and a 17 year old. We knew it was only one queen bed but assumed there would be a sofa or somewhere for the third person. There was nothing. Just the hard, uneven, old hardwood floor. We thought it would be "quaint" but not this rustic. Especially for the price.
Such a cute place!!! Great location, close to the beach and a short walk to the shops.
Everything you need for the beach was there for you to use
Would definitely stay here again!!
In the hallway to our room was a step which was very hard to see and my wife tripped on it and almost fell because of it - it should be marked with a paint line and written notice of its presence!
You might consider having juice available for breakfast - orange or apple or both.
Overall a pleasant place to stay!
