Great Resort But Busy

We enjoyed our stay here. Our cabin overlooked rice fields that was very pleasant, especially seeing farmers working in their fields. Lots of tour groups stay here so meal times can be busy. Breakfast buffet was extensive. We did not eat dinner here. The pool looked lovely especially at night time.

Enjoyable ,relaxing ,stay

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the golden pine resort , the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was very tasty and much food to choose from , the swimming pool was large and clean for a relaxing swim after a day of sight seeing , the staff were very helpful and kind people , The resort is just out of the city with rice farming around and views of the mountains , it was nice and quiet at this resort . Thank you golden pine resort for a very enjoyable stay .

출장이라 숙박만 하고 나왔는데 숙소도 깨끗하고 조식도 괜찮았어요. 전실 방갈로 타입의 별채라 짐을 끌고 다니는 게 조금 불편했는데 그것 빼고는 다 괜찮았습니다.

Relaxing resort far away from city

The resort has spa, gym, pool and restaurant but its about 15km away from city centre and there is no shuttle service either. Room is comfortable enough and bathroom has a big bathtub and separate shower. Staff is attentive and speaks english but hotel doesn't arrange tours of surrounding attractions.

Hard to explain why the experience is that bad

The place is actually decently nice but somehow everything is lacking. Staff is tired and bored, breakfast is awfully boring (both Asian and continental). The place would make it for a retake of The Shining.

Rice paddy oasis

Upon arrival, we were left breathless by the grandeur of Golden Pine. Just a half-hour cab ride from the wall-to-wall tourists of Chiang Rai, it is a world removed. Located in the middle of rice paddies, without a single hot-spot for dining, drinking or shopping to be seen. But that was the problem – if you don’t have a car, you are totally isolated. It seems almost all who stay here are part of the big-bus tour circuit. They are there for breakfast, then on the bus for the day. Often not even back for dinner, so the huge dining room is often nearly empty. We were the only people we ever saw in the gigantic swimming pool. The only place of interest within walking distance was the “Long-neck” village of displaced mountain tribespeople. But it was well worth the 3-kilometre or so trek. If you happen to be looking for the perfect place to sit by the pool and read, and indulge in 2 all-you-can-eat buffets a day, this is the perfect place for you. Watching the graceful white egrets feed, and sun set behind the rice paddies is a soothing sight.

Quiet retreat

We had 3 nights out at Golden Pine resort which is surrounded by padi fields ! As we were visiting someone we knew who lived close by it was convienient for us. Otherwise it is a long way out of the center of town but taking meter taxi was only 150 bht. The rooms were lovely in side and beds soft and comfy . Swimming pool enormous and I think we were the only ones using it! Breakfast was ordinary with very little choice if you don't eat eggs. Even the Thai choice was minimal . We ate one night at resturant and decided on buffet which we were told was 350 bht by one person earlier then when we sat down it was 500 bht per person and that was meant to be discounted! Very disappointed in the choice of Thai foods for this rate . Didn't eat there again . But the staff were lovely and very helpful in arranging taxis and a day trip for us.

un tres bel hotel pres des rizieres

un decor elegant,un service professionnel,une chambre confortable tres bien meublé,une salle de bain avec une baignoire pour se relaxer.....un hotel ou l'on a envie de se poser Comme nous avions une voiture tout était facile...la ville n'est pas tres loin mais il y avait bcp d'embouteillages (30 et 31 decembre ) HIver un peu froid donc n'avons pas pu profite de la piscine service de restauration varie et tres bon
