"Pier view is a lovely little house with everything that you will need in a home from home. The views from the property are amazing and Mesmerising. There is plenty to see and do in the area too with walks and botanical gardens close by and not to far away from supermarkets and shops if needed. Would highly recommend if you
just want to get away from it all and relax."
"The Royal Marine is an historic building, full of history, with an outstanding sea view, transformed internally with the installation of en suite bathrooms etc to suit the modern traveller."
"Wonderful stay, lovely caravan, clean, comfortable, excellent location and view. Would happily go again and recommend to others. We even got really good weather!!!

"We had a lovely night's stay at the Sugar Boat in their family room. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was fabulous! We'd definitely recommend to anyone, and will return next time we're in Helensburgh - thank you! "
"Lovely setting with beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. The Grill was excellent for dinner too. The staff was so very welcoming, courteous and helpful."
"Very unique, all sixties American diner design including jukebox.
Parking not good as you need to join the main road on a corner, with parked cars restrickting view."

"Fantastic hotel which has clearly had a lot of work done in recent times. I was greeted warmly by Ricky and checked in to Room 2, which was massive - and simply perfect for my (5 stone) greyhound, as he had space to move.
The Royal Marine is one of 2 dog friendly hotels in the area, and as you can see, His Lordship was made ever so welcome and he slept like a log, as did I! I brought his own bed, however my bed was super comfy and cosy. There was a tv, a (clean!) kettle with tea & coffee and large en-suite.
The building itself is steeped in history and is architecturally stunning. For the same price you could stay in one of the bland, characterless, pokey guesthouses nearer town.... but why would you? From what I could tell, every room looked different, which was a nice touch.
The terrace is a great place to sit and watch the Clyde roll by, and there was ample parking too. The log fire in the bar was both cosy and aesthetically pleasing, and the whole place was super clean.
Sadly I was staying due to holding my husbands funeral in Dunoon, but the hotel being bright and cheerful really helped me alot. All the staff were fun and incredibly friendly (it is rare for housekeeping to say good morning these days, but the ladies here were wonderful). Also, a big thumbs-up to Fiona on the bar for making my stay a thoroughly enjoyable one; it really is the staff who make a hotel feel like home.
As Arnie would say, Ill be back! Thank you xxx"
"Lovely property . Very clean & comfortable . We enjoyed staying here & watching the squirrels & birds . Lots to do in the area .
Very quiet & secluded . "
"We were traveling from the US for a Scotland adventure. This was a great place for our base as we took day trips. It was a nice location close to town and had a great view of the Loch. Access to the shore was a bonus. The deck was also nice to be able to hang outside in good weather. We appreciated the folders with local info and the instructions for the appliances. The kitchen had all needed items for us to be able to cook our dinners."
"Spectacularly peaceful with grand views, comfy beds, perfect kitchen. Relaxing living area with lovely wood stove. Wonderful neighbours. Highly recommended."
"A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the view overlooking the water. Philip was very helpful and gave us lots of information on nearby places to visit as well as local shops etc. The apartment itself was very cosy and great for self-catering. "
