"I was impressed at the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff in every part of the hotel. Even though there are major renovations going on, they make their best effort to accommodate people as they arrive. "

"I'd been waiting 50 years to stay here! A fabulous little "tourist" motel complex literally across the street from the Soo Locks. As a child on vacation, my parents would drive by this modest venue on our way into Ontario to fish and etc. Our destination was never the Soo proper ... But it was mine, last week! Yes, the walls are thin and the venue itself is "retro" all the way, but the people are friendly and, honestly, compared to the two Wyndham properties I stayed stayed at on the same trip --- THIS independent had the a better free breakfast than the "fancy" hotel down the street. Furthermore, the Lockview Restaurant next door, even though not part of the same outfit, will give you a discount if you're staying at the Motel. And the food there is VERY good and generous. I'll be back here, for sure."
