“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”

“Our family had a wonderful week. The weather was beautiful, and sitting on the back deck watching the boats go by was very peaceful. The house was clean, with plenty of household goods to take care of our family of five. We had a couple of snags while we were there, but Laurie was quick to make things right. If you're looking for a peaceful vacation spot, this is that place.”

“My family of 6 was midway through a weeklong road trip that included parts of the Lake sSuperior circle and the upper peninsula of Michigan. The location was perfect for a couple days to stop and rest and spread out before we headed back out. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was very responsive and welcoming. This apartment is in the basement of the home that the host resides in, but we were never burdened by noises from upstairs. ”
