Very fun and interesting. I highly recommend the boat tour of the locks!
Everyone should seeLocks at least once
We heard from staff at the Soo Locks Park that they are pretty lenient on putting money in the meters on weekend. Maybe it was because we were visiting in the 'off season' (after labor day)
I would highly recommend the boat tour of the locks. There is also a visitors center across the street from the hotel, surrounded by park and a viewing ramp that is wonderful.
If possible, be sure to cross the high bridge between the U.S. and Canada which goes right over the locks. It is a great view of the area looking south.
You can enjoy a tasting or tour at Soo Brewing Company and 1668 Winery during your travels to Sault Ste. Marie. While in this family-friendly area, you can savor the top-notch restaurants.
Though Chippewa Memorial Hospital might be what brings you to town, perhaps you'll have a chance to explore more of Sault Ste. Marie while you are here.
