A large tree just inside the SW entrance at Compton Hollow Conservation. It’s amazing how much the contrast can change in 24 hours. I increased the saturation and applied a subtle vignette to enhance the shadows. This picture looks and feels like the complete opposite of the “white tree against blue sky” picture I took yesterday. It has an spooky, Halloween feel to it even though it is actually late February and in a few weeks the Spring flowers will be blooming.

"The room was great, exactly as it looked online.The breakfast was good, plenty of options. The only source of water I could find was a jug with spigot in the lobby. I would have liked to see a bottle filler or soda machine style water option somewhere. I still used the water source, but I felt bad moving it to the edge so I could accommodate the height of my water bottle. I didn’t want to spill it. The staff were really nice, the room was clean, wi-fi worked on my iPad. I was happy to have a fridge and microwave!"
