"I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. "

"If you are looking for a location to shoot a movie set in a down and out motel, this would be perfect. It’s really a shame because it could be very sweet. It’s well situated near down town, walking trails and can walk to restaurants. The cabins and grounds could be very pleasant to hang out at if they weren’t so hammered. "

"My fiancé and I took a last minute trip and this place was perfect. Freshly renovated, we booked the room with an open ceiling. I could tell it was newly remodeled just by looking and smelling. The nice young woman who I believe is the owner was very gracious and accommodating. It’s walking distance to old downtown which has plenty of restaurants. The parking lot can be a little tricky due to the design and space. I highly recommend this quaint inn and hope to make a return visit. "

"We were greeted by Julie & Ken, our hosts and taken on an orientation tour. Our hosts were kind and thoughtful throughout ouur stay. This B&B was exceptional and delightful. Breakfasts were delicious and served in a special sun room/ dining room that Ken and Julie called our living room. Our bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The gardens, koi fish and waterfall, hot tub, and patio extended our private space. We loved it here and recommend it. "

"Wonderful stay. Everything was easy and great. Loved the country decor and the reading books. We were so thankful for the coffee! The condo is downtown with easy walking to food and entertainment. We especially loved the pasties and the Olive grove store with its spectacular selection of olive oils and vinegars along with a Sunday visit to the 170yo Emmanuel Episcopal Church."

"The location is ideal for walking around the town and very close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was limited but the best scrambled eggs I’ve eaten at a hotel! A great find."
"I had a short stay here after my wedding. Even though we arrived late the staff was very accommodating and kind. Room was very clean and classy. And I loved the retro style. Perfect in every way. "
"Baby bear’s cabin was exactly what my partner and I needed- 4 days of peaceful quiet and relaxation in the woods. The house was clean, quiet and romantic. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway."
"The property and pool were beautiful. It had all the supplies you would expect and everything worked without any problems. The hosts were responsive. We would definitely like to stay again. "
"We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling.
OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in.
Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently.
Our kids loved it.
It really has that Precious Moments cottage feeling.
For me, it really reminded me of the hostel we stayed in Frankfurt, Germany and Britain.
The couple that are engaged and working there, are so friendly and welcoming. We will never forget their kind hospitality.
We'll be back here."
"A gorgeous historic hotel centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The hotel bar and restaurant were excellent. We opted for the King Studio and had a nice sized room. Others in our party had small rooms with queen sized beds. We will definitely will return. "
"I really enjoyed my cozy stay. I enjoyed some wonderful peace and quiet which is exactly what I needed. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I had everything I needed. The cabin was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the trees are amazing. Also, their labradoodle and kitty are awesome. "

"This lovely and amazing VRBO hosted by Diane, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, made for a wonderful romantic getaway for two that we can easily see extending to a week's stay with the whole family. Diane has set the house up to be very generously appointed, with everything from martini glasses to a rice cooker, making it feel like a home away from home (with way more options for entertaining). The space is quiet, clean, and private, yet fun, with plenty to do both indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks, exploring nature, and sitting outside losing track of time. This retreat is perfect for anyone looking for a serene escape with a touch of adventure! We first stayed for a romantic getaway for two but will definitely be bringing our kids back one day because it's going to be just as nice when they are with us."
"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one room on the ground floor for ADA compliance. The town is so small that they don’t have any other businesses besides a small general store and post office, so you must drive to find anything else to do. As of this moment there is no restaurant or bar, but the hotel owner is working on that and says that pending permit approvals, should open their restaurant and bar this year. During the week, breakfast is just self-serve coffee and cereal, but they offer more on weekends. Despite it being so quiet, there is an active train track not far from the town and although we didn’t hear it (the road crossing was far enough away), it’s worth noting. Most of the small Gold Rush era towns along I-80 have this issue, just be aware.
We were thrilled with the experience and authenticity of it and will go again. "

"Perfect property for our family gathering! House was great for accommodating multiple family groups. Loved the big dining room table for bringing folks together. The property has great hiking trails (although you need to watch out for poison oak). Alicia and Michael were very helpful giving us the info we needed to get the most out of our stay. Michael even provided a bike tour of the trails for our groups' mountain bikers. Lots of wildlife--even an early morning bear sighting (from a very safe distance). Definitely a terrific trip."

"This is a lovely cottage with great amenities. The kitchen setup is really nice with full size fridge, 2 “burner” induction stovetop, microwave and toaster oven, French press coffee, pots & pans, utensils and plates, bowls, cups, glasses. Very comfortable bed. Perfect for a trip for two to Grass Valley."

"The Perfect Romantic Getaway! This cabin was everything we hoped for and more. The views were absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the sound of the river every morning felt like a dream. The space was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with so many thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. We especially appreciated the peace and privacy — it felt like we had our own little world tucked away in nature. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay, which made everything even more seamless. Truly the perfect romantic escape for couples looking to disconnect and relax.
